One of the things I love most about sharing Small Business Stories is celebrating the people who build supportive communities around them - and Grainne Dunne is a wonderful example of that.
Grainne is the founder of The SideKick Co. where she supports small businesses with social media strategy and practical guidance to help them show up online with more clarity and confidence.
Alongside this, Grainne runs Mums in Business Network in Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks, a thriving local networking group that brings together women balancing business and family life. It’s a welcoming community where mums in business can connect, collaborate and support one another.
Social media strategy and support
Grainne is a Social Media Strategist and through The SideKick Co. works closely with small business owners to help them feel more confident and organised with their social media and marketing.
Many founders know they should be visible online, but it can quickly feel overwhelming. Grainne helps simplify the process through strategy sessions, workshops and practical guidance, helping business owners develop a clearer message, stronger content and a more sustainable approach to showing up online.
For businesses that need more hands-on help, she also offers 'done-for-you' support, managing content, emails and behind-the-scenes marketing tasks so that business owners can focus on running their companies while their online presence continues to grow consistently.
Supporting women in business in Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Alongside her consultancy work, Grainne runs Mums in Business Network in Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks, a welcoming network and events calendar for women balancing business and family life. These events bring local mums together to connect, collaborate and support one another as they grow their businesses.
Grainne is a passionate champion of local women in business, and with the Tunbridge Wells group continuing to grow, she is now expanding the network into Tonbridge, creating even more opportunities for connection and collaboration across the area.
The BRAND Refresh
Grainne has also recently rebranded both of her businesses as they continue to evolve and grow.
As part of this exciting new chapter, Grainne joined me for The BRAND Refresh session in March. During the shoot we created a set of relaxed brand images for her website and social media, reflecting her approachable personality and the supportive energy she brings to the businesses and communities she leads.
Grainne wanted her new photographs to reflect her updated brand colours and overall look. She came to the session with a few carefully chosen outfits that worked beautifully with her branding - a great way to maximise your session and create a gallery of images that feel consistent across your website and social platforms. We also created some fun images leaving plenty of negative space for captions on instagram.
